I THINK i can get the banjo head to fit up through the passage once i break loose the bolt up top. So i got the pan pulled today, no metal in the oil, gears on the pump look perfect, chains seems a bit loose, i'm not sure what it's supposed to be like, but I broke lose the banjo bolt for the vanos oil line, and stopped there for today. I've been ordering parts, parts, parts, and reading everything on this forum for weeks, and some of you guys threads are absolute life savers!! I wasn't able to do a vanos pressure test as nobody in this area has the knowledge, tools, or has worked much with the S85.:sad3: The only reason I still bought it was because I got it so cheap. In a bold move, I recently picked up a beautiful 2007, SMG, with recent full SMG overhaul, new clutches, throttle actuators, some goodies, but with a huge VANOS issue. ![]()
